 "Scott never commented to this, but I am sure we were one of Scott's more difficult customers. It is never easy to hand over what matters so much to someone else. Our home is a little like that and we were reluctant to just go with any roofer. We knew going in we were relying on what our insurance would cover and yet hoping that what we'd end up would be a long-lasting, beautiful, quality roof. We researched and had five contractors come out to our house...only one came inside and sat down with us and that was Scott Horstmann, owner of Christian Brothers Roofing, LLC. Scott personally came back twice after the job was done to make sure it was done right. When we ended up with some white vents under the eaves of our house, he came back and replaced the more visible ones with the color that more closely match our home.  "Scott I wanted to thank you for the excellent job you and your crews did on re-roofing and guttering of my house in Leawood. I accepted your bid not because you were the lowest, you weren't, but because you followed up on your bid and explained the entire roofing and guttering process that your company would employ. I was impressed with your demeanor and professional approach. In addition you handled the City of Leawood and obtained all the necessary permits, that's appreciated.
When everything was finalized your crew showed up when promised, worked extremely hard for two days to complete the roofing and after the crew was gone there wasn't a sign they had been there other than the wonderful new roof. Then to follow up your gutter crew showed up without us being around and installed new gutters with guttergard that has worked wonderfully (no more cleaning out clogged gutters, what a treat).

"After the hail storm and wind in early April here in Olathe I needed a roofer and my insurance company. In nearly 50 years of owning a home I had never made a claim on my insurance; this was new territory for me. Do to providence I had Scott Horstmann with Christian Brothers Roofing come to correct a problem on my roof just three weeks before the April hail storm. He was excellent to work with and his men were efficient and did clean work. So, needless to say, I called Farmers Insurance and Christian Brothers Roofing after the storm. During this time period I overheard neighbors and friends describing terrible stories and experiences with insurance claims and scam roofing contractors.
I want to thank and extol the insurance claim process by Farmers Insurance and their adjustor, Jason Blubaugh. This fine young man was thoroughly equipped, professional in the highest regard, and handled his work in a timely manner. He was great, kind, and appreciative; I even got a friendly "Thank you for doing business with Farmers note" a week later!
I had had Scott Horstmann come and inspect the roof a few days before the scheduled insurance inspection, so after Jason had completed his evaluation and the paper work was done I showed him the quote Scott had left with me; he was very impressed with the detailed specifications of Scott’s quote. So, my next step was to employ Christian Brothers Roofing based on their quote. The work is done; I have a new roof! Scott’s crew worked extremely hard and long hours; they completed and cleaned up beyond my expectations of a big job. Scott even followed up twice, coming back to inspect his crew’s work, as well as his own involvement with me his customer. All of this is remarkable and noteworthy.
